This beautiful town, 3.5 hours out of Melbourne and in the midst of the Victorian High Country, is tourist heaven. Once you arrive, you will never want to leave.

 

 

Mt Hotham, Falls Creek and Mt Buffalo only driving distance away make Bright the ideal base for snow lovers. Autumn brings about the abundance of events and with brisk mornings, sunny days and cool nights inviting adventure and exploration, it’s easy to understand why. The Autumn Festival, the "Wandi" Nut festival and the phenomenon that is the Brighter Days make it the ultimate events hub. Let’s be honest, not many country towns can say they had Katy Perry rock the night away at their local reserve, can they? If you love the outdoors and love seeing spectacular and natural colour, spring is your time in Bright. Open gardens, the Gala Day Parade, music in the park, it’s just a magnificent time of the year. The Bright Resort is your gateway to everything the area has to offer. 34 two bedroom units with full kitchen and bathroom facilities make it the perfect place to have a family re-union, catch up with friends or just relax as a couple and breathe in the soothing, country air. Have a barbeque on site, test your nerve on the mini golf course or hit your backhand down the line on the tennis court.  Head to the Bright Brewery, Dr Maeve’s or Reed & Co Distillery for a drink, Tomahawks or Sole e Luna for dinner and your day is sorted. Bright is cycling utopia with Wandiligong, Harrietville, Myrtleford and even Wangaratta awaiting on the "Rail Trail". Pedal to the Wandi Pub, stop in at Nightingale Apples and keep ticking the legs over to the ‘punkah and have a look at Ringer Reef. Even challenge yourself and get to Gapsted Wines!
